Things you need for the test:
  1. The test
  2. A pen or pencil
  3. Your laminated, signed index card (if you didn't get yours signed and laminated yesterday, you are out of luck, and will have to do the test cold).

When you're done:
  1. Put the test on my desk
  2. Make sure your name is on it!

HAVE A GREAT WINTER BREAK!

Test Review, Day 2

By the End of Class Today:
  1. Finish your new set of notes
  2. Create and LAMINATE your notecard! (only notecards that are laminated with my signature will be allowed)
  3. Practice with some examples for Classical and Operant Conditioning
  4. Write a quick study plan for tonight and Wednesday.  What will you study?  For how long?

Individual Review
For this option, you will work individually.  You should follow these steps:
  1. Go through the study sheet.  Using your notes, and the resources I have linked on the docs page of this DP, create a new set of notes that specificaly answers each of the study questions on the study guide.
  2. For Classical and Operant Conditioning, write practice problems/examples for 3 and 4.  Trade with someone else, and practice.  Want more?  There's some extra handouts with the practice we did for this in class in the Psychology Extra Handouts Box.
  3. Now, using your new notes from the study guide, create a set of study materials.  Flash cards, Quizlet, index card, whatever helps you the best.  Use them!
This option works best for students who are confident in their study skills and who work well independently.

Test Review- Self-Assessment and Notecards

Study Guide Self Assessment
Use the Study Guide to self-assess.  Go through, and next to each number, do the following:
  1. STAR if you think you could answer this right now, without studying
  2. SQUARE if you think you  could answer this with just a little review
  3. X if you need to study this quite a bit

Prioritize!
On the back of your study guide, make a list of three topics, divided by their self-assessment categories.  The stuff that should go on your index cards are the things with Xs by them!

Review Option 1- Review Posters
For this option, you'll get together in pairs or small groups.  I'll assign you a topic, and you will create a review poster for that topic that includes major concepts, some helpful symbols, a research/experiment example, and some practice questions if that's applicable.  This is a good option for students who learn well through talking, collaboration, and rewriting, for students who are not confident in structuring their studying for themselves, or for students who do not have good notes to study from.

Review Option 2- Individual Review
For this option, you will work individually.  You should follow these steps:
  1. Go through the study sheet.  Using your notes, and the resources I have linked on the docs page of this DP, create a new set of notes that specificaly answers each of the study questions on the study guide.
  2. For Classical and Operant Conditioning, write practice problems for 3 and 4.  Trade with someone else, and practice.
  3. Now, using your new notes from the study guide, create a set of study materials.  Flash cards, Quizlet, index card, whatever helps you the best.  Use them!
This option works best for students who are confident in their study skills and who work well independently.
